Universal Music
The music and entertainment business has changed radically over the last few years. Universal Music asked us how it should develop future websites for its acts to reflect these changes and we devised a strategic technological approach.
Universal wanted to move away from the more traditional style of artist website which usually contained static information. Instead, it wanted its websites to work harder, using the latest web 2.0 technology. This would enable artists to connect more closely with their fans. Universal also wanted the websites to be more commercially focussed, introducing advertising, ticket sales and downloads.
We built a web platform to enable Universal to use this new technology; acts such as One Night Only, Sharleen Spiteri, and Jo Lean and the Jing Jang Jong were the first to have websites designed and built for them using this new approach.
We have also worked with Universal in association with Orange and Nokia to design and build an interactive website to support its high profile 'Music Line' campaign.
